Chris R. Turner, Global Managing Director, Content Delivery, Juniper Networks, USA

Chris Turner brings more than 20 years of technology sales and leadership experience to Juniper. In his current role, he has responsibility for all aspects of Content Delivery. He is also responsible for business development, strategy and sales for the Content Delivery Community of Interest inside of Juniper. Prior to this role, Chris held a sales leadership roles for a pure play content delivery network, BitGravity. In his capacity as Senior Vice President of sales, he led all of the companies sales, channels and business development activities. Prior to BitGravity, Chris was the VP of Worldwide Sales and Support at Intelliden Corporation where in less than three years he oversaw a jump in revenue from $2 million to $17 million. This included advancing the companies efforts in the Telco market and opening both enterprise and federal government market segments and delivering more than $30M in revenue in just over 2 years. As a member of that company's management team, Chris helped the company raise more than $22.5 million in venture-backed financing. Prior to Intelliden, Turner held the position of Senior VP of Global Sales at Akamai Technologies, where he managed a global team of 250 and was responsible for Akamai's revenue streams totaling over $150m in annual sales. Over his tenure Turner oversaw the development of a highly focused transaction sales model and then led the transition into more enterprise-oriented customers. Also at Akamai, Chris held the positions of VP of Worldwide Channel and International Sales, VP North American Sales, and Director of Alliances and Channel Sales, While in this position, Chris formulated the strategy and led the effort to built a highly successful reseller and channel partner model which has consistently accounted for a quarter of Akamai's revenue. Chris started his professional career at IBM where he began as a new business sales representative and later worked a manager where he held several positions including Sales manager and Senior Project Manager in the Internet Division. A Harvard MBA, Chris received dual bachelor's degrees in International Business and Political Science from Ohio Wesleyan where he was a 3 year starter on a NCAA Division III National Championship basketball team./p>
